heart for woerden surprised 30 volunteers with a gift and a speech on the day of the volunteer

Hart voor Woerden called on residents of Woerden to nominate volunteers who mean a lot to them for something extra in the context of the Day of the Volunteer on December 7th. 30 people responded and sent in beautiful stories. Hart voor Woerden surprised these volunteers, together with the resident resident, at home or at their workplace with a gift and a warm speech.

Volunteers make the difference

Volunteers have passion in common. They all have a heart of commitment. With what they do for others, no matter how small, they make a difference. Gerrit inspires and enthuses others by sharing his knowledge about nature during active excursions at the Kievit. And Miep helps students of primary school De Notenbalk who have difficulty reading, so that their self-confidence grows. With this campaign, we reflected on the fact that what they do is very special.

Day of the Volunteer

December 7 is National Volunteer Day. This day has been set up to draw attention to all those volunteers, carers and other active residents who are committed to other people or charities.
